I'm Julie, and I live with my husband and three young daughters in New South Wales suburbia, Australia. This is the online journal I kept until recently, of how we are trying to live more simply & sustainably in suburbia.

This blog is on indefinite hiatus but please feel free to look around my archives for some inspiration in your own journey to living more lightly and sustainably.

Aussie Blogs

I think one of the advantages of blogging is the ability to join a community of like-minded individuals that may not exist in your real-life local community. I currently have over 90 blogs on my subscription list - yes ninety - which, although msot of them are not updated daily (thank goodness!), is clearly getting a bit ridiculous!

So I am trying to focus more on the few Australian bloggers that I know are out there. Finding them has been a happy accident in most cases, as it is *seriously* difficult to wade through the bazillions of blogs out there in cyberspace, unless the authors have made some attempt to get themselves known through registering on a blog index or green page, and most don't. So here is some of the Aussie "green" or simple living blogs I have come across in my travels that you might wish to have a look at.

PLEASE pass on the links to any other Aussie blogs that you enjoy, so that I and any other Aussies passing through, can have a look too :-)

A New Green Earth

Consumption Rebellion - Eilleen is undertaking the challenge of not buying anything new for a year, including clothes

Down to Earth - RhondaJean, new to blogging but a huge wealth of experience in simple living

Enough - Alison and Donna are compacting in Sydney

Greener by the Day

No More Stuff - the Melbourne Compact group blog

Nuture Nature - two Mums exploring nature with their children in an urban environment

Question Marque - Mandarina

Simply Living - Susan
