I mentioned previously in my kitchen audit that I was having trouble finding a bucket for my sink. I finally found one a couple of weeks ago, and not only is it narrow enough to fit in the half sink, but it holds 11 litres to boot. Very happy. I started out just catching clean water in it and watering my plants with it, but since I seem to be forever washing my hands (wiping sticky banana or yoghurt off kids hands and faces, for instance), I am now washing them over the kitchen bucket to save the water, rather than in the bathroom sink. Plus I am now rinsing the recyclables into it as well. Of course this means I no longer have a nice bucket of clean water to use on my pot plants, in fact it gets quite soupy-looking, lol. So I've now started taking it along to the bathroom with me and using it to flush the loo! Sorry, that probably belongs in the realms of "too much information", LOL.
I'm still working on the other areas, but we are getting there slowly but surely.

nice blog
I was beginning to wonder where your kitchen audit was going to end. Now I know :-))
Your blog is great, what a lazy piece I am. You do all the 'legwork' and I do all the reading.
Ms soup
LOL Ms Soup :-D There is a nice (?) synchronicity going on there now that I think about it... Oh and I blog because I have a shocking memory ("baby brains") so if other people can get some use out of my research then all the better :-) Cheers!
