Nikki, I have posted the recipe for my Spinach/ Silverbeet and Potato Crockpot Curry, on my cooking blog, here :-)
Doing: ...Listening to the sound of rain on the roof. Every time it rains I wonder if this will be the last time for another month or more, so I love sitting quietly with a cuppa and just listening to it running into the tank, and giving quiet thanks that my whole life doesn't revolve around the next drop of rain like it does for so many of our farmers.
... Hanging up the washing on the undercover clothes line in the garage. That thing has had more use than the outside line in the last couple of weeks, what a great investment that was!
... Cleaning this pig sty of a house up before the visitors arrive tomorrow.
Making: Date slice.
Picking: Zucchini, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes.
Dinner: Apricot chicken (using homemade French Onion soup mix) and steamed vegetables.
Challenge/s: Wanting to get Miss 4 out of disposable nappie (diapers) overnight, but not wanting to pay $30+ for cloth nappy-style training pants.
Solution/s: Argh! I can't find any second-hand, which was my first option, so I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm going to have to make them myself :-0 I've seen links to free online patterns (such as this one) on the parenting forum I belong to, and I like the idea of reusing fabric from old clothes etc that we might have here at home (plus it doesn't need to look very flash as it will only be worn at night), so I'd better get searching I think.
Reading: Sew-your-own fitted nappy patterns.
Utilities for November: Gas 35.8 MJ/day; water 342 L/day; electricity 13.0 kWh/day; garbage 2.9kg + 2.1kg nappies = total 5.0 kg/this week; recycling 3.9 kg/this week.
Contemplating: DH's pile of old clothes ;-)

congratulations on completing the NaBloPoMo challenge with your great posts!!
Thanks for the recipe.
Would like to hear how your homemade nappies turn out. I have miss 2.5 in cloth, but wonder if she'll outgrown her current pocket nappies before she's night trained and don't really want to upsize, so may investigate making my own as well.
Thanks for the month of great posts.
Our rubbish bin was stolen a couple of days ago, and I'm finding a renewed enthusiasm for the cloth nappies here.
Hi Ali, thanks :-)
Hi Nikki, Since I am not a sewer, if I can manage to make them, then anyone can, LOL. I'll be sure to let everyone know how I go if I decide to make them myself.
Hi Kate, thanks :-) Ergh, bins are expensive to replace! Ours was stolen a few months ago too, but turned up down the street the next day luckily, as we priced them at about $120 to replace.
Cheers, Julie
