...Getting a bit bored with this view of the sky every day. Now that I've said that it probably won't rain again until March.
...Uploading a stack of photos to My Garden Diary.
Making: Wholemeal bread.
Dinner: Pan-fried chicken with a tomato, basil and garlic sauce and parmesan toast (using the fresh bread).
Reading: It's raining again and the kids are bored, so it's one picture book after another. I'm hoarse ;-)
Utilities: Gas 35.15 MJ/day; water 360.3 L/day; electricity 13.1 kWh/day.
Contemplating: A "get-super-serious-about-water" challenge week for my family to see how low we can go.

I hear you on the rain, spiders and kids!
I'd love to hear how you go, if you decide to go ahead with the minimal water use.
We are still using too much water at our house, we're under the allowed limit of 140 litres per person per day, but still...I'd like to be using less.
You have the same amount of little ones as I do, how are you going to get around the washing? Bathing isn't too bad as they can all get in together, but I'll be interested how you use minimal water to wash if your kids clothes end up anything like mine.
Regards,
Shell.
I keep walking into spiders webs too lately ~ it must be something to do with this time of the year!!
just how big is that spider?
Hi Shell,
We recieved our water bill yesterday after I posted and it was much worse than I was expecting, I don't know how we used so much more than the previous bill? So we will put our heads together and see what we can achiever next week, as an experiment, I think.
Ali, yep it's this time of year. All the bugs are breeding and we have tonnes of Xmas Beetles, so there are heaps of spiders too!
Hi Debby :-) It's not actually all *that* big, but I am arachnophobic, so they don't have to be big to scare the bejaysus out of me, LOL. The one in the pic is a St. Andrew's Cross spider about 10cm from leg tip to leg tip.
Cheers, Julie
