Doing: ...Investigating organic control options for the Two Spotted Spider Mite infestation on my eggplants:
I will try EcoOil first (because I have that on hand), and if that doesn't have any effect I will try the homemade milk and flour spray listed in both the previous links to see if that works. It's drizzling today so no point in trying anything just yet.
...Thrifting these bottles to use for homemade cordials.
... Updating lots of photos in My Garden Diary.
Picking: Peppers, eggplant, silverbeet.
Dinner: Calzone (homemade pizza dough pockets), filled with roasted home grown eggplants and peppers with cheese.
Reading: The Penny Pincher's Book Revisited, John and Irma Mustoe
Utility Averages for January: Gas 32 MJ/day (90% reduction goal 19.2 MJ/day); water 407 L/day (goal 120 L/day); electricity 14.5 kWh/day (goal 5.8 kWh); fuel 104.3 litres (goal 94 litres). A seriously bad month :-( Back on track in February though...
Contemplating: What homemade gift to make for a 6 year old girl's party next week. I'm thinking an apron, and adding some cookie cutters and rolling pin to it? An apron would be easily within my (very basic) sewing capabilities I think? I can't embroider but I'm thinking of machine-appliquing her initial (or name, it's only 4 letters) to the front?

This bag is VERY easy to sew and would make a great present for a 6 year old. I reduce the pattern a little and leave out the pockets.

Hope your mites get sorted out.
Jo, thank you so (sew) much for the link, I love the bag! Gorgeous for a little person and infinitely variable :-) I also particularly love the wrap dress tutorial on the same blog, I am *definitely* going to have a go at that too! Thanks!
Cheers, Julie
