I'm Julie, and I live with my husband and three young daughters in New South Wales suburbia, Australia. This is the online journal I kept until recently, of how we are trying to live more simply & sustainably in suburbia.

This blog is on indefinite hiatus but please feel free to look around my archives for some inspiration in your own journey to living more lightly and sustainably.

Hummus and Lavash Crackers

Whip up one bowl of homemade hummus, by placing in the blender:

400g cooked chickpeas (1 can or equivalent)
2 tbs tahini
2 cloves of garlic
2 tbs olive oil
2 tbs water
juice of half a lemon

Process until smooth, adding more water if desired, for a smoother consistency.

Add a plate of freshly cooked lavash crackers.

And stand back as the ravenous hordes descend and devour.
