I'm Julie, and I live with my husband and three young daughters in New South Wales suburbia, Australia. This is the online journal I kept until recently, of how we are trying to live more simply & sustainably in suburbia.

This blog is on indefinite hiatus but please feel free to look around my archives for some inspiration in your own journey to living more lightly and sustainably.

Ooops.

Oh. My. Lord.

I've just discovered the knitting and crochet site, Ravelry.

I'll be back in about a week ;-)

In meantime, let me distract you with a photo of my first blueberries of the season, fattening up on the bush. Mmmmmm, not long now my lovelies, before I can sprinkle you lovingly on my breakfast yoghurt...

Oh, don't you LOVE Ravelry! I get lost on there all the time! I have enjoyed catching up on your last 3 posts - your knitting looks great and the blueberries are going to be delicious - I can't wait to own our own house so we can get some more permanent food sources going :).

So very jealous of the blueberries!! They're on my list of fruit trees to get.

He he he... Ravelry... I love it, though I will admit it has been the slow demise of my blog. :-) Enjoy, hope to hear from you in a week or two.

Hi Christine,
I would but I've only just signed up and I haven't got anything to share! Besides, I'm only a brand new beginner. I'm too busy going through the forum questions and bookmarking patterns :-)

Hi Belinda, thanks, I will!

Hi Rebecca, thanks :-)

Hi Felicity, blueberries are divine, I grow mine in pots. Highly recommend them.

Hi ewe-niss, Oh I know what you mean! Thanks for dropping by :-)

Cheers, Julie
