Regular readers of my blog will know that I've been keen to try brewing my own beer at home.
Well, I finally won not one, but two different kits (with about 70 bottles and associated paraphenalia) on eBay from a local seller, for less than buying just one kit new would cost (and that would be without any bottles etc).
DH has just picked it up for me.
Mwah hah hah ha.

Congrats and enjoy :)
Your 'footprint's' about to get heavier; beer causes weight gain ;)
But seriously, congratulations :)
Have fun. I'm really enjoying your nablopomo posts and made the fruit cordial today.
Wow,
Isn't it wonderful when all that patience pays off.
Kind Regards
Belinda
Homebrew is about the best social drink you can make that is eco friendly. If you can by a local beer kit, i.e Coopers then you are most of the way their. I recommend their Canadian Blonde, but only open it after two months after you bottle it. Any time before that and it is under carbonated.

AWESOME. Hubby used to do homebrewing and then we gave away all our stuff on Freecycle when we moved. I still miss the pumpkin ale!
Loving the daily posts.
That's great! enjoy!
Nice work!! Can't wait to see the progess on your blog. I'm looking at making wine next year (ie: when I get enough stuff to do it!)
Hi Julie! I have been visiting but today I just had to comment. It's fabulous that you're giving brewing a go, it's something I have wanted to do for some time. DH has done quite a bit of it in the past but he's not interested now. I'll be watching this with interest.
I sent my best wishes.
Hi guys,
Thanks for the good thoughts and wishes! I have no idea when I will get time to give it a go, but rest assured I will be posting about it here :-) We don't drink that much (of anything!) but we do like to odd cleansing ale on a hot summer day :-)
Cheers, Julie
