I'm Julie, and I live with my husband and three young daughters in New South Wales suburbia, Australia. This is the online journal I kept until recently, of how we are trying to live more simply & sustainably in suburbia.

This blog is on indefinite hiatus but please feel free to look around my archives for some inspiration in your own journey to living more lightly and sustainably.

I am looking for the proper way to prepare mini eggplant [about 2-3 inches] and stuff them with walnuts and garlic, and then place in olive oil for several days to marinate. My dad called them Makdous. I would appreciate any help. George Ayoub, gidotwo@gmail.com;
