I'm Julie, and I live Australian suburbia. This blog is the online journal I kept to record my family's journey towards living more simply & sustainably.

This blog is on indefinite hiatus but feel free to look around my archives for some inspiration in your own journey to living more lightly and sustainably. Please note that Blogger has 'eaten' some of my older photos which I am unable to retrieve at the moment.

I am now blogging at Our Simple Days, if you would like to stop by.

Bloggus interruptus

Gardening after a prolonged period of hot weather, followed by lots of wet weather, got the better of me yesterday! DH had to go over the (fortunately small) lawn with hedge clippers before he mowed it because it was so long that the push mower had no hope of cutting it, and weeds in the garden... oh, the weeds!

Anyway, I now have a neater garden and I've sown some seeds, but in the process I've strained a muscle under my right shoulder blade (ouch!) which makes typing painful and manipulating a mouse even more painful!

So please excuse me while I rest up with the latest issue of Warm Earth magazine, and I'll be back later in the week ;-)

sometimes an injury s a messgae to stop and rad and have cups of tea; try and get someone to come in and turn the pages in between making you cups of tea.

Hope you are feeling better Julie. Enjoy your rest. Do you have a Heat Wheat? They give great relief.

I'm with Kel... having just put my back out a couple of weeks ago, I reckon an injury is usually an important message!
So take some time to look after yourself and we'll all be here waiting for your return.

The weather has been nuts for gardens here too. The grass died off ages ago but the weeds are really high! And seeing as I put my back out I can't mow for a couple more weeks yet. Nice to have the break but boy am I in for a massive job when I get to it *cringe*
