I'm Julie, and I live with my husband and three young daughters in New South Wales suburbia, Australia. This is the online journal I kept until recently, of how we are trying to live more simply & sustainably in suburbia.
This blog is on indefinite hiatus but please feel free to look around my archives for some inspiration in your own journey to living more lightly and sustainably.

Typical.
I bought one of these solar-powered battery chargers with a voucher recently.
And ever since then, it's been like this...
So all you locals can blame me for the bad weather.

neato. shame about the weather...
The farmers ought to pay you to take your solar charger out west :-).
Actually, we're in the same boat with our rooftop solar. Installed a 1 kW system, and we've had rain and cloud ever since!
lol - I wondered whose fault it was!
i like the weather - any other solar thingys you need? LOL
I recently bought hubby a solar and hand powered torch and radio. I love it!
:-)...
It seems your power is stretching as far as Narooma. It rained solidly here for a week until today.
Kind Regards
Belinda
Hi Kel,
Can't complain about a full tank but some sun in between the showers would be nice...
Hi Darren,
LOL! Ah well, you beat the end of the rebate which is good :-)
Hi Kez,
Um yeah, sorry ;-)
Hi Tricia,
Oh yeah, I bought one of those for DH for Father's Dy last year - very cool!
Hi Belinda,
At least you guys could use the rain LOL. We get too much and then not enough!
Cheers, Julie
