I mentioned some time ago that when I was last at my Mum's place, I flicked through many old vintage cookbooks and pamphlets she has, including one put out by the Australian AGEE preserving jar company. I had a request for a copy of the pamphlet - The AGREE Book: The Housewife's Guide to The Bottling and Preserving of Fruits and Vegetables - so I scanned it, turned it into a PDF file, and uploaded it to Adobe Acrobat share, HERE, if anyone would like to have a look.
Please excuse my inability to scan pages straight! The pages were loose and it was pain so I gave up trying to straighten them LOL. You'll just have to tilt your head a little ;-)
Also please note that the information in the pamphlet regarding preserving vegetables is likely to be incorrect as we now have more information regarding botulism and safe bottling practices.

Thanks Julie for going to the effort of scanning the book. I will add it to my bottling collection but will definitely water bath most things and can in the pressure cooker the others. It looks like you scanned it on the Titanic. :-)
"It is a mistake to imagine, as some housewives do, that Fruit preserving is a complicated and expensive business necessitating the use of elaborate apparatus."
Well thank goodness for eBay!
