OK, so it seems I am the last person in the blogosphere to try the chai syrup which was recently recommended by angry chicken, but I finally got around to making it yesterday.
This stuff is awesome.
The only change I made was to use my home made sweetened condensed milk. I reckon this syrup would be nice in coffee too? Or hot chocolate. Not to mention the dozens of bakery items it seems to be popping up in and on around the traps... Yum. Granted, it doesn't have the same depth of flavour as proper chai tea brewed on the stove, but that's a definite winter ritual for me; This concentrate makes a fabulous summer substitute, particularly on ice. Chai milkshake, anyone?
