Woah!
This stuff is awesome.
The only change I made was to use my home made sweetened condensed milk. I reckon this syrup would be nice in coffee too? Or hot chocolate. Not to mention the dozens of bakery items it seems to be popping up in and on around the traps... Yum. Granted, it doesn't have the same depth of flavour as proper chai tea brewed on the stove, but that's a definite winter ritual for me; This concentrate makes a fabulous summer substitute, particularly on ice. Chai milkshake, anyone?
Cheers,

I'll take one on ice please. My stepmother turned me onto Chai tea and for Christmas she bought me a large container of mix. UUUMMMMM think I will help myself to another glass of Chai tea tonight.
Just a friendly prod that chai means tea, so saying chai tea is kinda like saying pin number. re.dun.dant.
but i can't wait to try that recipe!
You are not the last person in the blogosphere, I am! But I will try it, as I do like a nice Chai *refrains from adding 'tea', so as not to avoid the sensibilities of Miranda ;)* so will add that to my do list... off to check out the link now, thanks!
Hi Laura,
Sure, I'll make an extra for you ;-)
Hi Miranda,
Ah, there you go, you learn a new thing every day :-) Thanks!
Hi Dixie,

How had I missed that??! So no, you're not the last :)
i wasn't being catty! ;)
Neither was I... just joking, was all! I notice those sorts of things too... :)
Yum Julie! This sounds great. I haven't tried this recipe either, so you're definitely not the last. Might give it a go. Thanks for visiting my blog today and leaving me some support and encouragement. Fingers crossed! I'll keep you posted. Anita. x
Julie - this sounds great. I will give it a try.
Off subject. I am ready to make your deodorant this morning and for the life of me I CAN'T get the ball out of the old roll-on container that I am using. I have tried "gently" and I have also tried "not so gently" with no luck. So far I have managed to mangle the edges around the ball. No so good, I am afraid, but would still like to get that ball out of there and make the deodorant. Do you have any suggestions at all?!
Thanks for the Chai Tea Concentrate recipe. AND thanks for any advice you can give me on the roll-on ball.....Emily in South Texas
Hi Anita,
My pleasure, I hope you enjoy the chai :-)
Hi Emily,
Hmmmm, I think if you've had a good go at prising out the ball already, it isn't going to come out! I used a round-tipped knife to gently ease mine out. If the edges are mangled, it will probably leak too unfortunately - I found that after about 18 months of reusing my old bottle, the edges were bent out of shape also which meant it leaked so I had to get a new one. I ended up buying one from a soap & cosmetic supplies shop. The top screws off it to refill so the ball doesn't come loose and it cost about $1.50 - maybe that's an option? Annoying though! Do you have an old spritz bottle you could try instead? It might be a little too thick to spray on though... Sorry I couldn't be of more help :-(
Cheers,
Julie
Hi Julie - I will now be on the look out for one like you mentioned - screw off top and roller ball - sounds just like the right thing. Yup, I figured it would leak with all my dents and such on the edges. I may try the spritz bottle, but like you said the mixture might be a bit thick. it is worth a try...thanks so much. Emily in So. Texas
