I'm Julie, and I live Australian suburbia. This blog is the online journal I kept to record my family's journey towards living more simply & sustainably.

This blog is on indefinite hiatus but feel free to look around my archives for some inspiration in your own journey to living more lightly and sustainably. Please note that Blogger has 'eaten' some of my older photos which I am unable to retrieve at the moment.

I am now blogging at Our Simple Days, if you would like to stop by.

I've been really enjoying your gratitude photos.
This chai looks great so I'm off to make some right now and enjoy a cuppa with my knitting. I'm trying to make more time in my life for things that make me happy.

cheers Kate

I've been enjoying this series of posts, too! This one's got my brain wandering off on a (fairly substantial) tangent): Have you ever tried to make caramel from homemade sweetened condensed milk? If it's possible, that would fix one of my greatest sacrifices due to boycotting nestle!!

Yum! Yes please...

Yum! I am definitely trying this one.

(And how great are those jam jars for reusing?)

Hi ladies,

Kate - I hope you enjoyed the chai too :-)

dillpickle - I haven't, but I don't see why it wouldn't, after all it's the sugars which cook and form the caramel?

dixie - sure! Pop on over :-)

avocadoandlemon - I love them but it's imported jam so I gave it up in the interest of supporting locally made. Bummer :-(

Cheers,
Julie

Hi Lauren,
Anything strong with a nice, robust flavour, is good, like Assam.

Hi Kate,
Excellent :-)

Hi Tracie,
I'm glad you liked it!

Cheers,
Julie
