I'm Julie, and I live with my husband and three young daughters in New South Wales suburbia, Australia. This is the online journal I kept until recently, of how we are trying to live more simply & sustainably in suburbia.
This blog is on indefinite hiatus but please feel free to look around my archives for some inspiration in your own journey to living more lightly and sustainably.

Twenty One :: Cherry Tomatoes ::
Which are still going strong despite night time temperatures down to 3'C. Gotta be happy with that :-)
I still have a tomato alive. It's only because the pot is right next to the hot water heater. There is one tweeny little tomato on it but it hasn't grown in a couple of weeks so I think I would be better just to pick it off and hope I can use it to get a good head start on the season.
We pulled our plants up and have hung them upside down under the carport so they can keep ripening away from the frost. It's quite strange to still have homegrown tomatoes in June.

Hi Ladies,
It's cool, isn't it? My girls eat them like lollies :-)
Cheers,
Julie
