I'm Julie, and I live with my husband and three young daughters in New South Wales suburbia, Australia. This is the online journal I kept until recently, of how we are trying to live more simply & sustainably in suburbia.
This blog is on indefinite hiatus but please feel free to look around my archives for some inspiration in your own journey to living more lightly and sustainably.
Florence Fennel
A Photo A Day Challenge: Photo #112
I started this challenge on January 5. It was my aim to harvest at least one thing from my garden every day this year - and photograph it - until illness and an inability to get into the garden got in the way. If I could have managed to pick 360 different varieties, then so much the better! This is photo #112 of what is now a possible 253 photos/varieties.
Cheers,

I love fennel!
Lovely photo of your fennel. I planted some a million months ago. two have survived but have never developed enough to eat. I can snip a few of the feathery leaves though, that will be good. Right now I just enjoy looking at it and will try again for more later.
Hi Ladies,
Mmmmmm, I love fennel too - I love licorice so I guess that's not surprising! I'm about to try it in a soup tonight with chorizo, which sounds rather lovely...
Cheers,
Julie
